    Winemaker's Notes:

Known for luscious Cabernet Sauvignons, this wine is a classic example of Geyser Peak Winery's intense, lively style. Forward fruit characters of black cherry and blackberry dominate the aromas, with underlying grace notes of dark chocolate and black pepper. In typical Geyser Peak style, the bright fruit is nicely supported by a restrained oak character. The palate is rich, round and lush, seamlessly pairing the cherry and berry fruit with a hint of spice and vanilla. The fine-grained tannins meld into a persistent, lingering finish.

    Critical Acclaim:

A beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon. May be a little lighter in body than some, but trades richness for elegance and impeccable structure. So pretty and polished, with entirely satisfying blackberry, spice and cedar flavors. A great accomplishment.

A nice Cab that wasn't, in your face. Very balanced with a very ripe nose and a smooth finish. I'm keeping one in the cellar for a bit.

This cab is smooth, has good fruit with Jammy finish. Not overly dry. Good tannin to balance off finish. Very good for price. Would buy again.

Wrote a long, detailed review, hit the wrong button, it's GONE! Softer in tannins that you'd expect in a C.S. this young, ready now; berries, hint of "darkness" (pick your own comparison), the berries and the suppleness, not the mild tannic flavors, linger in the finish, my daily plonk with everything except highly spiced dishes or rare steak. I buy it by the case (I have another 200 wines on my shelf to choose from) and -- sorry, wine.com, I'm still a steady customer, but -- found it at a Texas supermarlet chain for "under $12", discounts on 6+.
