    Winemaker's Notes:

The color is medium to dark cherry red. In the nose red fruits dominate and there are hints of cola, spices and a touch of forest floor. This is a full bodied, well balanced, intense young Pinot Noir. It is complex and full of flavor with a long, lingering finish. It has the structure made for aging and patient cellaring over the next three to ten years will be rewarded.

    Critical Acclaim:

Medium ruby color; deep, earthy, red cherry aromas; rich, ripe, rich, spice, red cherry and cola flavors with some earthy notes; silky texture; good structure and balance; long finish. Rich, ripe Pinot that is pretty now and yet has the structure for some age.

    92 Points

A big improvement over the ’06, ripe and rich in flavor, and capable of aging. The wine is dry and silky, with deep, impressive flavors of cherries, red currants, Dr. Pepper cola and sandalwood, as well as Burgundian, earthy notes of mushrooms and balsam. Delicious now, yet the tannins suggest a glidepath through 2013.

    Wine Enthusiast

Firm and complex, with dark fruit built around wild berry, blackberry, black cherry, floral and spice. Full-bodied, deep and persistent, with a long, lingering finish. Drink now through 2013.

    Wine Spectator

Full-bodied and fully expressed, this somewhat raw-boned take on the variety earns its spurs for its nicely framed aromas of ripe black cherries, hints of cocoa and soupcon of sweet oak. Big and rich, filled with plenty of succulent Pinot Noir fruit at its generous heart and certain to smooth out with time in bottle, this is a very tasty and promising wine.
