The aromas suggest rich earth, essence of oranges, pie cherries and with a purity of delicates spices. The mouth is bright with delectable red currants, bergamot, lively raspberry fruit flavors, with a hint of white pepper with a creamy texture. Refreshing in the mouth with great length of raspberries and gravel in the finish.
The terroir-driven 2007 Pinot Noir is medium ruby-colored with an alluring bouquet of spice box, smoke, earth notes, cherry, and raspberry. Sweetly-fruited and medium-bodied on the palate, it is a juicy, balanced, easy-going effort for drinking over the next 5 years. The French would call it a "vin de plaisir".
