    Winemaker's Notes:

This Reserve Chardonnay opens with inviting aromas of lemon cream pie, Bartlett pear and nectarine. Unctuous notes of creamy lemon bar, mango and mandarin orange are layered with subtle hints of vanilla and clove. The wine is well-balanced and lively with a solid structure and creamy texture. The wine finishes with hints of vanilla and lemon oil.

    Critical Acclaim:

The most expensive effort, a selection of the estate’s finest barrels, is the 2007 Chardonnay Reserve. This wine appears to be more monolithic, but it may just need another 6-12 months of bottle age. It is unquestionably an outstanding Chardonnay offering up notes of tropical fruits, spicy, smoky oak, earth, citrus oil, and poached pear. Medium to full-bodied as well as structured, it should drink well for 2-4 years.

Great Chardonnay! Pear, lime on the nose. Not too oaky, not too buttery, not too fruity - just right!! Nicely balanced, crisp & smooth. Tons of tropical fruit on the palate. Lingering finish with a mixture of minerals, vanilla, with just a hint of spice. Delicious...would definitely buy again!! Highly recommend.

wine was very good but it should be priced at around $12.99 . I put a bottle dow and will check it again in a couple of years.

It is pleasant to the nose but does not hint of the velvety taste of this golden jewel. I would rate this wine a 92 compared to many other Chardonneys I have tasted. It has a hint of pear and is very smooth to the palate.

I must have gotten a bad case. the 2007 tastes like it was finished in a fireplace. The smoky taste is overwhelming, and is difficult to drink. i'm going to let it sit for a while before pouring it out.
