    Winemaker's Notes:

Crafted from a selection of special blocks from our renowned Sleepy Hollow Vineyard located in the Santa Lucia Highlands of California. A blend of primarily old-vine, 35 yrs, Martini clone Pinot Noir grapes. Barrel aged 12 months in French Oak, 30% new. Silky texture, luscious black cherry, cedar, and soothing spice with a beautifully balanced finish.

    Critical Acclaim:

The 2008 Pinot Noir Sleepy Hollow Vineyard has a similar dark ruby color as well as an attractively perfumed nose of red and blue fruits, spice box, and a touch of earth and background wood. It is rich, textured, and slightly more structured than the Logan (or at least the tannins appear more present). It’s a beauty as well.

Ruby-red. Intense aromas of black raspberry, cherry and licorice, with an exotic incense note gaining power with air. Lush and creamy on entry, then firmer in the mid-palate, which offers sweet dark berry flavors and notes of cola and spicecake. Tannins arrive late and add shape and grip to a long, spicy finish.
