    Winemaker's Notes:

This vintage of Old Vine Zinfandel displays wonderful aromas of white pepper, cardamom and black cherries. After a few minutes in the glass, additional elements of tobacco, espresso and chocolate begin to shine through. The essence of these old vine vineyards are fully displayed on the palate with succulent fruits such as plum, blueberries, and strawberries. The tannins are smooth and well integrated creating a silky experience, leading to a long and lingering finish.

Blend: 82% Zinfandel, 18% Petite Sirah

    Critical Acclaim:

A little soft and heavy, but dry, with rich, extracted flavors of berry jam, red licorice, milk chocolate and pepper spice. It's a very good, robust Zinfandel for drinking with barbecue and short ribs.

Great taste on the front. Long finish with just the right amt of tannins on the finish.

Fantastic example of Old Vine Dry Creek Zinfandel. The Dry creek area of the Sonoma region is a wonderful growing region for Zinfandel grapes. Winemakers, and wine growers can show this when they put out a product such as this 2007 Dry Creek Old Vine Zin. It is full of the fantastic briary fruit and spice that one would hope to find in a highend zin. Fabulous!

Very good Zin at $20 a bottle. I see the price is now $29 a bottle, not really sure it would be worth it at that price
