    Winemaker's Notes:

Ceidleigh (pronounced kay-Lee) is made from Red Mountain grapes. Old and new world in the same glass make this Syrah distinctive. Translating as 'celebration' from the Gaelic tradition, this wine makes a fine contribution to any party.

Inky with dark plum and black cherries balanced around aromas of smokiness, floral notes, and dark chocolate. It has big bracing tannins, yet wonderful elegant acid that gives focus to the wine.

We make this wine with indigenous yeast and malolactic cultures to showcase the identity of the wine through the unique place and time of the fruit's growth.
    --Brennon Leighton, Winemaker

    Critical Acclaim:

Earthy undertones add an air of mystery to this juicy, stylish mouthful of raspberry, blackberry, rose petal, soft leather and mature tobacco flavors, beautifully wrapped in fine tannins. Best from 2013 through 2018

Released quite young, this is a wine to decant. It's big and dark and tannic, tight as a tick, with grainy textural tannings wrapped havily around tart blue and purple berries. Though the flavors are pure Syrah, the structure and density are Cabernet like and though it's a guess, the odds are this is a wine to cellar for at least a decade.

Good full ruby. Black fruits, blueberry and a smoky nuance on the nose. Juicy and concentrated, with a terrific core of dense dark fruit and spices. Showing more personality today than the '07 version but this is also quite backward, a bit dominated today by its tannic grip. This wine was aged in a 50/50 combination of puncheons and barriques, whereas the '07 was aged entirely in barriques.
