    Winemaker's Notes:

This vintage marks the debut of De Morgenzon's DMZ label, where the objective is to produce classic, elegant, well-balanced wines which over-deliver in terms of quality and value. The voluptuous Shiraz bottling – crafted completely from estate fruit – is brimming with rich, ripe berry and plum flavors coupled with seductive floral notes. Distinctive hints of white pepper, exotic spice and vanilla follow through on the finish.

    Critical Acclaim:

Bright red-ruby. High-pitched aromas of crushed blackberry, licorice and wild herbs. Sweet, silky and bright, with lively acidity framing the flavors of crushed dark berries, licorice and mint. There's a faint porty nuance lurking but this is essentially a rather polite style of shiraz.

On the noise this wine has a beautiful ripe plum note, followed by blackberry, leather, and tobacco! You taste soft black fruit, pepper, tobacco, and a hint of licorice. This is blended with a supple layer of tannins that make this a great wine for the money! I enjoyed this wine and look forward to having another glass!
