    Winemaker's Notes:

White Hills' typical black cherry aromas are complemented by sweet plum and floral notes. The palate is full and textured with a plush mid palate which finishes sweet and clean. Age 1-3 years and serve in a big glass to capture the perfume.

Pair with a crusty baguette with brie or young camembert, or quail with black cherries.

    Critical Acclaim:

Decidedly reserved bouquet, with a strong savoury aspect reminiscent of graphite and showing hints of dark cherries; the fruit makes an appearance on the palate, but the mineral edge remains, and there is a firmness of tannin that is ultimately very satisfying, drawing the palate out to a long and even conclusion.

The 2008 Pinot Noir South, medium ruby-colored, it displays an aromatic array of earth notes, cinnamon, cherry, and cranberry. It has excellent density, sweet fruit, a glossy texture, and excellent length. Drink it over the next 5 years.
