    Winemaker's Notes:

Ken Forrester's "Petit" range offers friendly value wines, perfect for everyday drinking. The grapes for Petit Chenin are harvested early in order to maintain a bright, fresh, fruity character. This youthful wine displays clean, mouthwatering flavors of crisp green apple, quince and pear, with notes of honeysuckle and ripe melon.

Not very good. It has the aroma of a Chenin grape but not much of the taste. The alcohol overpowers the wine and it does not readily pair well with food. Compared to others in the cheaper quality that I have tried, it was not that bad. Must be cold. Would not buy again.

I would never guess from the nose that this is a chenin blanc. It's vegetal and grassy and flavors of sour grapefruit are off-putting. It has none of the characteristics one would normally associate with chenin blanc (flavors of green apple, hint of sweetness on the palate) I wonder if the bottle is bad?
