Our Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon displays classic Cabernet dark fruit flavors of blackberry and chocolate with hints of Pomegranates, caramelized sugar and molasses.
A potential stunning bargain in Cabernet Sauvignon is Bridlewood’s 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon from Paso Robles. There are 18,000 cases of this $15 a bottle Cabernet, a blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot and a dollop of Zinfandel. It offers copious amounts of black currant fruit intermixed with cedar, spice box notes, full body, sweet tannins and an opulent texture. This wine clearly over-delivers and from an area known for its robust alcohol levels, it came in at a mere 13% alcohol.
