    Critical Acclaim:

The stunning 2009s include the 2009 Chateauneuf du Pape, which is showing even better than it did last year. This strong, powerful, concentrated effort exhibits a dense purple color as well as loads of blueberry, black currant and black cherry fruit. A blend of 70% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 15% Mourvedre, it is a sexy, opulent, voluptuous, seductive, head-turning Chateauneuf that should drink beautifully for 10-12 years.

    The Wine Advocate

Big and winey, with a dark, muscular core of roasted fig, plum and blackberry fruit laced with cocoa powder and tobacco. Despite its heft, this is polished and pure, with plenty in reserve for cellaring. Best from 2012 through 2022. 1,780 cases made.

    Wine Spectator

Deep ruby. Spice-accented aromas of cherry and raspberry, with a floral nuance gaining strength in the glass. Juicy, nicely focused red fruit flavors take on weight with air and pick up spiciness on the back end. Finishes with gentle tannic grip and very good length. This wine will drink well on the young side.
