    Winemaker's Notes:

The color is bright garnet with ruby tint. On the nose, aromas of cherry, cranberry, raspberry and spice. Flavors of pomegranate, blueberry and tobacco leaf. The wine has a silky mouthfeel, lively on the mid palate, with a round finish.

    Critical Acclaim:

Medium ruby color; spicy raspberry aromas; rich, bright cherry and raspberry flavors with silky texture; good structure and balance; long finish. Bright and lighter-bodied Pinot perfect for sipping or light foods.

I like this pinot noir as well as or better than many offered at twice the price. It goes down smooth and pairs well with many different foods. Or you can simply sip it before dinner accompanied by light appetizers. We even served it with filets and it wasn't overpowered by the meat. I'd buy this vintage again anytime. King Estate: you rock!

I had high expectations for this wine. It did not meet them. It lacked smoothness and left a sour aftertaste. Not a highly recommended product. It does not live up to its 90 rating. Still, for the price, it's a bit better than other pinots out there.
