    Winemaker's Notes:

Every year, we bring in approximately 35 lots of Zinfandel averaging 25-30 years in age. Each of these lots is produced under the careful eye of our winemaker, Ted Seghesio. The best of these lots are selected to make Sonoma Zinfandel. A small amount of Petite Sirah is blended in the wine for added complexity. The result is a tantalizing black raspberry and classic briary flavored wine with a balance of components for which Seghesio wines are known.

    Critical Acclaim:

You could use this as a teaching tool for classic Sonoma County Zinfandel. It's full-bodied, dry and spicy, with briary flavors of wild berries, mocha, tobacco, leather and exotic spices. More importantly, it's absolutely delicious. The grapes come from Seghesio's best vineyards in the Alexander and Dry Creek valleys. At this price, it's an astonishing value, especially considering that production was nearly 80,000 cases.

This racy wine is jammed with pepper and licorice, plus notes of black raspberry, roasted sage and smoke. Still youthful and unpolished, but promises much. Best from 2014 through 2017.

Classic ZIN without any sex appeal. Can Zin be sexy and zesty? Seghesio has produced amazingly consistent excellent zins for years- like a classic sportscar.

One of our favorites. Fruity but still complex, very satifying and a bargain.

Somewhat tannic but a good example of Sonoma dry Zinfandel. Very appealing wine

This has become our family and friends favorite Red Zin! The taste is complex but immediately welcoming and it gets only better as it breaths.
