    Winemaker's Notes:

This is Malbec in its most natural expression of untouched grapes shining through and capturing the true essence of the Vista Flores vineyard where they were picked. It has a beautiful pomegranate color and aroma of fresh red cherries with light French oak undertones. The palate is fresh and lively with black raspberry and spiced mocha notes. A great companion to barbeque or burgers, and incredibly easy to drink on its own. A real crowd pleaser.

    Critical Acclaim:

The 2010 Natural is 100% Malbec made from organically grown grapes and aged for 12 months in French and American oak. It offers up an expressive nose of wood smoke, spice box, violets, tobacco, and black cherry. This is followed by an elegant, sweetly-fruited, forward wine that over-delivers in a big way. Drink this outstanding value over the next 5-6 years.

(made with organic grapes): Red-ruby. Pure, complex nose offers blackberry, blueberry, violet, licorice and a whiff of chocolatey oak. Ripe but juicy and firm, with harmonious acidity framing the dark berry, black cherry and saline flavors and keeping the wine's sweetness under wraps. Finishes with chewy, ripe, palate-dusting tannins and very good soil-driven length. Has the structure to age. A superb value.

    International Wine Cellar

Made from organically grown grapes, this malbec brims with notes of violets and soft red fruit. A nervous acidity makes it juicy and approachable while the flavors run deep and long.

Very drinkable and smooth. Has a plummy or pruny taste. It's not terribly complex, but it's mildly sweet and mildly tart without hardly any tannins or bitterness at all. I really liked this. And I know the rules about what wine goes with which foods, but I would think this could go with any meal.

A very good bottle for the money. The nose could be a little richer, but wasn't bad at all. Color was a dark deep crimson violet... very nice. The wine was smooth on the palate not too fruity, not too acidic... one word comes to mind when I drink this: smooth. Buy a case.

Prune and raisin taste, quite sweet. Could benefit from stronger tannins (something I don't say too often). Needs to breathe.

Suprisingly good. Never had an organic and was ready for disapointment, but this Malbec did not.
