    Winemaker's Notes:

Kuyen, which means "moon" in the Chilean native language Mapuche, is a 40% Syrah, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Carmenere, and 2% Petit Verdot blend made with grapes from the Maipo Valley. This vintage shows deep color with intense aromas of dark fruit, spice and minerals. The palate has good texture with volume, body and a long finish.

    Critical Acclaim:

Vivid ruby. Intense dark berry and licorice aromas are complicated by notes of black pepper and dried flowers. Juicy, tightly focused, youthfully firm black and blue fruit flavors show very good depth and pick up a smokiness with air. Shows very good power on the finish, which features bitter chocolate and cherry pit qualities. This promising wine really deserves a few years of patience.

Fresh berry, mint, cola and herb aromas make for a classic Maipo bouquet. Feels fresh and good, with plying tannins and bright acidity. Tastes earthy, mossy and herbal, with ample berry fruit. Licorice and prune flavors carry the finish. Syrah and Cabernet, Carmenere and Petit Verdot.

A really good blend for the price. Not my number 1 blend but I would buy again if it was under $20.

I actually think there was something wrong with this wine. It tasted like it was on the verge of turning. Terrible for the price in any case.
