    Winemaker's Notes:

The cool growing season produced crisp, yet rich, flavors of lychee, jalapeño and white pepper that are perfect with a wide range of food, including green salad topped by Chèvre cheese, grilled seafood, and spicy Mexican or Asian cuisine.

    Critical Acclaim:

Farmed under biodynamics at Grgich's American Canyon and Carneros estate vineyards, this wine has the intensity of flavor that fruit can give at the peak of ripeness. The depth of that fruit flavor ranges from a tart pear skin to kumquat, both brisk and resonant. Its underlying earthinessparallels the structure of a classic Loire chenin: a sauvignon that's refreshing with river fish and big enough for foie gras.

A very pleasant bouquet and nice balance. Nice hints of grapefruit on the tongue but without the strong citrus acidity. We enjoyed it without food at a nice cold temperature.

The 2010 Grgich Hills Fume Blanc shows beautifully right now and should hold up very well for a few more years to come. The nose offers ripe peach and melon aromas and the mouthfeel is soft and slightly citrusy. The long finish is somewhat "chard like" in body and finesse.

A great bargain. Complex with layers of flavor and aromas: jalepeno pepper, citrus, straw, bright and crisp yet rich at the same time.

Wonderful light crisp and pairs nicely with seafood, especially shellfish. Great with a cheese plate as well. Another very good wine from this winery.

Wonderful wine that brings out the subtle flavors in a variety of cheeses.
