    Winemaker's Notes:

Ruby red in color. This wine has a bright nose, with focused aromas of cranberry and plum. Nice floral lift on the palate, with more red fruit flavors (cherry, currant) and a hint of garrigue. Finishes with medium tannins and balanced acidity. Made with 100% Cabernet Franc.

    Critical Acclaim:

The 2010 Lot 28 Cabernet Franc comes from 25+-year-old vines at 800 meters altitude and spends two winters in oak. It has a very convincing, fresh, expressive bouquet with pure brambly, briary black fruit and freshly tilled soil. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp black cherry and blueberry fruit on the entry. The tannins are fine and edgy, while the finish is beautifully composed and contains Margaux-like femininity. This is extremely well-crafted Cabernet Franc, surfeit with personality.

Bright ruby. Intense, spice-accented aromas of cherry, redcurrant and violet, with smoke and mineral topnotes. Juicy and precise on the palate, offering energetic red fruit flavors that take on weight with air. Finishes smoky, spicy and very long, with slow-building tannins and resonating florality.

Cab Franc is typically a favorite of mine. For this one @ $25/, I think Parker's 92 is a typo...shoulda been 82...poured out 95% of the 2 bottles I tried!!! I've had much better from the $79/case stuff like WSJ. Oh yeah - the wax cap is a total pain, as opposed to say Belle Glos which can be dealt with fairly easily.
