    Winemaker's Notes:

This is a wine that displays more of the spicy, racy and mineral aspects of syrah with a strong savory component and less of that jammy fruit. There is a freshness on the palate that carries through the fi nish. This is certainly the most "Northern Rhone-ish" of any of our Central Coast bott lings. If you're expecting a fruit bomb, you won't fi nd it here!

    Critical Acclaim:

A light, bright, strawberry-scented syrah, this has a fresh, open feel to its red fruit flavor. Bob Lindquist makes some of the most consistently fine syrah in California, and this latest release is classical in its simple lines. Buy a case to enjoy this spring and summer once the cover comes off the grill.

Always good, light easy and a go-to wine that tastes like real wine yet is widely available.

This Syrah was perfect with a spicy barbecued chicken and steamed artichokes....... A hint of a Merlot earthiness but a very nice fruit and finish..cherry and pomegranite notes.

Not the best Qupe Syrah I have had but not bad. Lots of red fruit on the nose. Whiff of black pepper. Big flavor up front but fades quickly.A little one dimensional but highly enjoyable.

Very disappointing. Have enjoyed pre-2009 vintages that offered nice wine at a good price. The '10 is watery and thin. Must be what the winemaker meant when he said less jammy fruit. Without any fruit taste what you get is the alcohol and some nasty astringnent taste.
