    Winemaker's Notes:

The 2009 Beaulieu Vineyard Reserve Tapestry displays the art of blending varietals and vineyard locations to create a wine that combines layer upon layer of flavors and excellent depth with graceful tannin structure. Deep, briary blackberry and cassis character comes from the wine's core of Cabernet Sauvignon. Black-cherry notes and a plush midpalate texture reveal a generous blending of Merlot, while Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec add violet, forest loam and graphite notes, as well as deep saturated color and rich texture.

Blend: 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot, 1% Malbec

    Critical Acclaim:

Graceful, with complex spice, herb, dried currant and crushed rock flavors that are well-proportioned and gaining on the finish, where the flavors weave together with subtle nuances. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. Drink now through 2022.

The 2009 Reserve Tapestry is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec. Dark red fruit, flowers, licorice are some of the notes that emerge from this sleek, beautifully balanced red .... Anticipated maturity: 2011-2017.

The 2009 Reserve Tapestry is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec. Dark red fruit, flowers, licorice are some of the notes that emerge from this sleek, beautifully balanced red. As good as this is, it doesn't have the personality of the estate's Cabernets. Still, I like the deep, radiant, fleshy finish.
