Very fresh bouquet with notes of citrus and white-fleshed fruit. Fresh and supple, the wine is marked by mineral notes that are typical of the appellation.
Pair with various seafood dishes, such as, fish, grilled or in a light sauce and oysters.
Readers will find a terrific wine for near-term drinking in the 2011 Chablis. Beautifully defined notes of smoke, gunflint, citrus and white peaches emerge from the glass. The 2011 Chablis shows lovely richness and depth for an entry-level wine. Layers of fruit build to the expressive, generous finish. This is a nicely balanced, harmonious Chablis, and a great introduction to the vintage. Didier Seguir makes the house’s Chablis mostly with left bank fruit.
There is a lovely touch of mineral reduction to the pear, wax and tidal pool suffused nose. This is also agreeably racy and intense with fine detail to the lightly mineral-inflected middle weight flavors that conclude in a balanced, saline and moderately dry finish. A quality villages.
