    Region: Hawkes Bay, New Zealand

    Varietal: Chardonnay

    Other Info: Screw Cap Wines

    Style: Fruity & Smooth

    Item no. 122386

    Winemaker's Notes:

Shows lemon zest, almond, and mineral aromas and flavors, with a coastal acidity and freshness. This medium-weight, textured wine has a remarkable length of flavor.

A delicious companion to a variety of shellfish dishes.

    Critical Acclaim:

This has the weight of a Premier Cru Chablis with dried apples, cream and a hint of lemons. Full body, with a dense compacted palate and a creamy, crunchy acidity. Makes you want to drink it. Aged about six to eight months in oak barrels.

For those who enjoy the crisp, mineral side of Chardonnay, but also want a slightly creamy texture, this is a wine for you. Lovely and balanced, this wine has stone fruits and mineral notes, with a vibrant but creamy texture. So refreshing and at an awesome price point! Makes you want to keep drinking it...

Delicious wine with fresh acidity. My go-to seafood wine.

Overall disappointing, compared to other, similarly priced New Zealand Chardonnays. Somewhat bland, the fruit doesn't stand out and there isn't much of a flavor or aroma.
