    Winemaker's Notes:

    #51 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2013

So f***in' sexy! This wine kicks ass with tons of complexity, showing notes of white peach, Linden leaves and slate. Lovely focused acidity, finishing very long with mandarin orange and lots of minerality. Grab the chop sticks, crack a bottle....this will make you happy.

    Critical Acclaim:

Kungfu Girl has become an iconic Riesling on the strength of its instantly recognizable label, and surpassing quality. At 11% alcohol and 18 g/L residual sugar, it rests comfortably on the fence between dry and off-dry, and is a bulls-eye rendition of Washington Riesling. A dense mix of citrus, apple and tree fruits, enhanced with skin textures and finishing with highlights of honey and tea, this is flat out delicious.

Lovely, expressive, bright and vibrant, with apple, lime and citrus blossom flavors, persisting enticingly as the off-dry finish lingers against natural acidity.

Kicking off the whites and talking about value, the 2012 Riesling Kung Fu Girl has to be one of the best values in white wine coming out of Washington State; when you see the total production numbers, it's straight up unbelievable to have a wine of this quality, price and availability. Offering up a gorgeously pure, fresh bouquet of lychee nut, mint, citrus and clean minerality, this beautifully focused Riesling flows onto the palate with a balanced, full mid-palate, only a touch of sweetness and integrated, yet lip smacking acidity that shines on the finish. There's real Riesling character here (and after tasting loads of Washington State Riesling, trust me, this is not a given) and this beauty should be purchased by the case.

Excellent value, imo. Fruity and complex taste. Seems like it would pair well with almost anything. It was very good with roast ham, and even better with a spicy quinoa salad.

Picked this up at the local grocer just to give it a try since it was on sale. Wow! I need to order a case of this from here. I'm more than surprised. I was expecting something mundane and tart. Instead I got lime, green apples, peaches and slate. This is a nice Reisling. And for the price it can't be beat. Served with a Honey Soy Roasted Pork Roast with brussel sprouts, turnips and baby carrots. This bottle went fast.

This is a great wine that many people will enjoy, regarldess of their wine preferences. I personally prefer reds to whites, but I really enjoy this white. It's a good value for the quality.

Kung Fu Girl is quite good but I generally expect more from my riesling with regard to overall complexity. This is not a true dry riesling with an off-dry finish; nevertheless it is quite good and a more than reasonable value.
