    Winemaker's Notes:

La Chevaliere Rose is a light rose-petal pink color. It is complex, very aromatic nose of strawberry, tropical fruit and subtle floral notes. Fragrant red berry character in the mouth with fine, crisp acidity and a zesty finish.

    Blend: 70% Grenache, 30% Syrah

Pink in color with a hint of salmon. The nice fruit flavors are dominated by strawberry. This wine is medium bodied with nice acidity. A great rose' without the sweetness of some others. I am happy that I have a case of this to enjoy over the next few months.....if it lasts that long!

This wine was a gift for my birthday!! I love wine gifts!! LOL. Ok, I bet you're wondering why only four stars...Well, I love wines that are very rich and strong to the palate. I had pizza with this wine so, I didn't feel as much of a 'punch' as I would like...Would I repurchase, of course! Especially, for the price!! =D

I would call this a dry+ Rose, as the sweet cantaloupe finish is on the syrupy side. Wonderful freshness in the strawberry and peach nose. Would be excellent with very spicy food (I was having pasta and found it a bad pairing without extra pepper) as the finish is not tart/green enough for my taste. I prefer the Chateau de Campuget Costieres de Nimes Tradition Rose 2012 as a Rose that stands up on its own without being on that slightly sweet side....
