    Winemaker's Notes:

Deep red in color with intense violet shades. On the nose, a combination of red fruits and toasty notes given by the French oak are evident. In the mouth, the wine is complex and structured with a long aftertaste.

Pair with grilled meats or tagliatelle with spicy tomato sauce.

    Critical Acclaim:

With its reliance on old-vines vineyards, Renacer often comes out with great wines. This is one of them. Smoky, leathery berry aromas are inviting, while the mouthfeel is silky and plush. Oaky flavors of chocolate, smoked meat and vanilla accent ripe berry flavors, then clove and baking spices pour onto the finish.

This dark, polished red mixes crushed blackberry, cassis, plum skin, underbrush and olive hints on a full-bodied frame. The long finish ends with an aftertaste of mocha

Very nice. Needs air but opens up into a good value.

Hate to be the skunk at the garden party, but I found this to be an average wine. EVen after 90 minutes of air the tanins were still too strong, the fruit mostly hidden. That said - for the price it is a pleasant enough drink... and after 2 hours of air the fruit did emerge...so if you're going to open it, do so well in advance of drinking it.
