    Winemaker's Notes:

Sourced from material aged between six and ten years old, this wine is the foundation of the style; displaying the fresh raisin aromas, rich fruit, clean spirit and great length of flavor on the palate which are the mark of all the Muscats of Rutherglen.

While these wines are seen as after dinner drinks, try serving them as an aperitif, particularly in winter. A small glass goes a very long way, warming the mind as well as the stomach. And remember that a bottle, once opened, will keep for some months without deteriorating, providing it is recorked after each serving.

    Critical Acclaim:

Light reddish amber. An exotic, highly perfumed bouquet displays cinnamon, clove, dried red berries and rose, with hints of toffee and black cardamom in the background. The palate displays an intriguing blend of sweet and spicy qualities, offering toffee and candied red berry flavors and a late note of candied dates. Very exotic, and a fantastic value.

Sweet, smooth and spicy, with tobacco, toasted walnut, clove and cinnamon overtones to the prune and dried cherry flavors. Finishes with refinement. Drink now.

The NV Rosewood Vineyards Muscat appears only slightly less complex than the Muscadelle. Possessing a very pale brown color with a glint of gold, this wine is quite grapey on the nose with notes of brandied sultanas and spice cake. In the mouth it’s very sweet and rich with relatively medium-high acid to balance. The finish is very long with flavors of spicy grape syrup. As with the Muscadelle, this is also an amazing value.

    The Wine Advocate

Chamber's entry-level Rutherglen Muscat is a wonderful wine in it's own right, and a relative bargain among sweet wines. It's floral and berry-like on the nose, with a viscous mouthhfeel and caramel flavors that carry hints of berry fruit, honey and citrus.

Here's a steal: a half bottle of rich, stylish muscat for $16. This is filled with luscious, plump peach flavor, perfumed tart cherry notes with a rummy, sugarcane sweetness in the finish. Serve it with hazelnut ice cream.

This muscat is delightfully sweet with a distinct raisin flavour similar to that of the yalumba museum reserve, but lighter. I had it paired with an almond pound cake and i must say that the almond extract from the cake highlighted the wine's own fruity aftertaste.

Wonderful, amazingly complex and delicious! A little bit, enjoyed in tiny sips, is a wonderful cap on any day.

I enjoyed this wine immensely. It had more body than I expected and a beautiful color, Its nose was as sweet as its taste and it goes down well. I would describe it as plummy with notes of apple and chocolate. Great as dessert!

avoids all the tastes that turns many people off of ports, muscats, and other desert wines. At the same time it intrigues ones tastes well.
