    Winemaker's Notes:

Vinho Verde, the most popular white wine from Portugal, is a deliciously refressing, light wine. "Verde", meaning "Green" refers to the hints of lime color. It is an ideal warm weather wine, excellent for lunch and picnics, or an evening apertif. It makes a brilliant pairing with any fish, shellfish and poultry.

I picked this wine up today, to have before dinner. I will start by saying this bottle has great eye appeal. I love the label, and tall slender bottle. The nose has hints of tangerine, lemon, lime, lemon grass. Broadbent has a taste of lemon and lime right off the bat. In the middle of the palate, I can taste an earthy, grass followed by more lime. Soft finish! overall, a good wine for a warm summer day. After writing this review I made a lemon pesto chicken. This wine was amazing with this dish!

Vinho Verde is a splendid wine. My family and I have enjoyed this wine very much. We first became aware of this wine in Portugal this past April.

Everyone I've served this to has loved it. Some say it tastes like champagne and it is a bit sparkly. Served it well chilled. A very refreshing wine. Enjoy it before dinner and relax. Stands alone, rather than as an enhancement to a meal.

This wine is light and refreshing with a hint of carbonination. Its great by itself or with a seafood dish.

The slight effervescence makes this wine fun to drink. Great for parties and large groups as the clean bright lemon/lime acidity pairs with most appetizers and will satisfy brunch champagne cravings. I made a cocktail with this for a bridal shower with 1 part fresh blood orange juice and 4 parts vino verde, and I had everyone begging me for the recipe. I told them it was a secret so please, keep it that way. I have not had a vino verde I prefer over this one, which is why I gave it 5 stars, as I think it shines as an example of the varietal. I don't feel too bad adding juice or bitters to it as it is not particularly complex or expensive.

I drank this wine on the first day of summer. We have been waiting a long time for some warm weather up in the U.P. (upper peninsula of MI)! It finally arrived today. This wine paired perfectly with my dinner of Lake Michigan whitefish! I will be ordering some more.

Delicious, refreshing, light white! It bubbles across the palate - could be my new Summer favorite! Great value - and a lovely label, to boot!

This sparkling white is a must have for home and for a gift. I ordered a case twice and am almost out already! It is a perfect balance with not too much bubble. It is not sweet and not too dry. Splendid! AND the label is beautiful. Every person I gave it to loved it.

Was nicely surprised by the light effervescence. Green apple, lemon and a nice mineral base. Definitely more tart/sour than sweet. This is a perfect Sunday brunch mimosa replacement. Also a good wine to buy as a gift for somebody who is maybe newish to wine to help develop their pallet and encourage them to branch out from sweet wines.
