    Winemaker's Notes:

"Inky violet. Deep cherry and cassis aromas complicated by an array of floral, mineral and herbal nuances. Powerful dark fruit flavors are firmed by solid tannins and lifted by gentle minerality. Picks up smoked meat and anise notes on the long, chewy finish. This could be a Bandol. Is the average buyer at this price point ready for this? Another amazing value."
    -International Wine Cellar

Dense, clean and brilliant color. Magnificent fruity display (plums, fig bread combined with red fruit), medium strong balsam aromas(mentholated) which are perfectly integrated. On the palate, it is smooth and silky with mature, polished tannins and a full, pleasant finish.

Great value, I'll buy half a case next time around. It'll be wonderful with summer grilling.

A sip immediately after opening might shock a palate used to less challenging vintages. The tannin is very prominent, and the first effect is almost like a persimmon: somewhat styptic. But as it opens up, you realize you are into a very good wine, excellent, indeed, for the price.

Great nose, full bodied. If you appreciate Mouvedre, this is a terrific vine and a great value. If you don't, well, more for me.

I used a Vinturi and let it open a bit as well. Pretty strong nose up front, but both nose and taste smoothed out very nicely over 30 min or so. Very nice value.

The wine was bitter and flat.
