Good red color. Intense ripe fruit flavors of classical red and black berry fruits with a supple savory note backed by pleasant oak characters. The palate is full, round and lingering with fine balance.
The 2006 Pencarrow Pinot Noir has a rustic nose of earth, red currants and cherry and is rather subdued. The palate is medium-bodied with furry tannins. Good depth and concentration with wild strawberry, cranberry and a touch of blueberry on a floral refined finish. I am certain that this will improve with more bottle age so give it a couple of years.
Good medium red. Plum, smoke and spicy oak on the nose. Supple, sweet and rather easygoing, with good depth to its red fruit and spice flavors. An appealing wine with modest grip.
