The 2006 Graveyard Shiraz with its fragrant dark cherry, clove and sweet earth aromas combine with mocha and plum to create a beautiful, concentrated bouquet. Black currants, pepper and vanilla flavors are backed by fine tannins and a dry, cedar edge. Notes of dark chocolate, black pepper, and savory oak appear on the long, elegant finish. This wine will benefit from time in the cellar, evolving in complexity and fruit depth.
Strong purple-crimson; has every bit of the intensity and structure expected of this wine, with a mix of red cherry, blackberry, French oak and a lilting finish thanks to spot-on acidity. Screwcap.
Very deep garnet-purple colored, the 2006 Graveyard Shiraz has evolving fruit aromas displaying a black cherry and blackberry preserve character going into prunes, dried mulberries, leather, menthol, iodine and some dark chocolate. Medium bodied and crisp on the palate, it has medium-firm grainy tannins and a long earthy finish.
Opaque purple. Raspberry, blackberry, rose oil, minerals and Asian spices on the high-pitched nose. Sweet, creamy and surprisingly energetic, with vibrant red fruit, floral pastille and mineral flavors and no rough edges. The floral notes come on strong on the finish, which is exceptionally pure, vibrant and long. Many high-end New World cult pinot noirs offer less energy and clarity than this shiraz.
