    Winemaker's Notes:

A blend of 50% Grenache, 29% Shiraz and 21% Mourvedre.

An aromatic nose is of ripe fruits, Christmas pudding, white pepper corns and boiled rhubarb notes. The approachable palate is dominated by red berries, licorice and savory notes with lovely soft tannins and herbal edges. Its softness and balance of fruit and tannin make it extremely approachable at this young age.

    Critical Acclaim:

Soft and open-textured, with plum and spice flavors that linger on the juicy finish. Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre.

d'Arenberg's reds begin with the 2007 The Stump Jump Red, a Grenache, Shiraz, and Mourvedre blend which was whole berry fermented. Fragrant and fruity, it has plenty of crisp, crunchy fruit, ripe flavors, and a lengthy close.

    Old Grey Bull (9/27/2010)
Pleasant fruity flavor reminiscent of berries and cherries, not much nose, rather light, very little bite.

Easily drinkable red with a peppery finish, reminiscent of some very young bottles of pinot noir. Soft and silky at first, then transitions into harsher, spicy flavors.
