    Winemaker's Notes:

Low yields and hand harvesting indicate the care given to the superior fruit from this single-vineyard winery located on the gravelly slopes of the Maipo Valley. These standards extend to the wine-making process, with meticulous grape selection and aging in French oak barrels for 12 months. Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc this is a complex and velvety wine with a soft structure, spicy tannins, and a fruity finish.

    Critical Acclaim:

The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon offers violets, spice box, and black currant in its expressive nose. Supple, smooth-textured, and easygoing, this nicely balanced wine will provide pleasure over the next five years. Drink 2009-2014.

    The Wine Advocate

Stylish, with mint and sage notes leading the way for a supple palate of red cherry, black cherry and currant laced with hints of cedar and mineral. Drink now thruogh 2010.

    88 Points
    Wine Spectator

Fresh red currant and cherry flavors are light in body and refreshingly tangy, with no obvious tannins. A bitter chocolate note adds edge to the tightly focused finish.

I tried this at a restuarant and it was good. I liked it enough that I searched for it. In fact it is the wine that led me to Wine.com. So I owe it a great deal of thanks! It wasn't overly dry. A good finish. Let it breathe and it just crawls under your skin. It gets better with each sip. Made my wife and I crave a steak. Not including the restaurant, the 1st bottle was great. 2nd was not as good. We'll see if 3 times is a charm.
