Winemaker Notes
This seamless beauty offers profound aromatics of honeydew melon, gardenia and buttered brioche. Delving deeper, undertones of crushed rocks, tahini and flint come through. The palate is densely packed with flavors of apricot, muddled oranges and honey that give way to a penetrating finish making you pine for another taste.

COMMENTARY: The 2017 Kinero Rustler Roussanne is complex and intricate. TASTING NOTES: This wine exhibits a wide range of aromas and flavors. Its attractive ripe fruits, earth notes, and chalkiness should pair well with grilled pancetta-accented oysters. (Tasted: April 23, 2019, San Francisco, CA)
Full and silky in body but also charmingly crisp, Roussanne is native to the Rhône Valley of France. It is responsible for some of the finest Northern Rhône white wines. Roussanne adds richness and acidity to Marsanne’s soft, fruitiness, making age worthy and highly respected whites. Somm Secret—Roussanne takes its name from the French word, roux, meaning rouge or red because of the berry’s pink glow. In California, virtually all of the 339 acres of Roussanne come from true clones brought over by Tablas Creek and John Alban.
Growing on high elevation bedrock slopes, the vineyards of Paso Robles Willow Creek AVA sit at between 960 and 1,900 feet in elevation.
