Our 26-acre Red Hills Estate vineyard is a gentle south-facing slope ranging in elevation between 400 and 600 feet in the heart of the Dundee Hills AVA. Vivid red. Spicy, vaguely medicinal aromas of black currant, cherry and flowers, with a touch of musky underbrush. Then sappy, sweet and youthfully structured, with excellent verve to the bitter cherry, menthol and anise flavors. This youthfully taut wine really stains the palate, finishing vibrant and long, with strong mineral snap and a late note of vanilla.
The 07 Pinot Noir is a smooth-textured wine with plenty of sweet cherry and raspberry fruit, a touch of tannin, and a lengthy, flavorful finish.
