Bonterra's Cabernet traditionally offers aromas of Bing cherry, casis, currants and raspberry, with spicy notes of cedar and dried cranberry, with slight vanilla notes
In the glass you'll find juicy red berry flavors, and a very approachable, rich
and full mouthfeel with a lingering, thoughtful finish. Good structure, polished yet soft tannins promise an ever more pleasing wine to come, with lively acidity and subtle spice.
Crafted from certified organically grown grapes from Mendocino and Lake Counties.
A wonderful red wine, full-bodied, dry and elegant. It shows Cabernet character in the blackberries, cherries and black currants, but that’s balanced with an earthiness and minerality and even some smoked meat notes that must come from a perpercentage of Syrah and Petite Sirah. Tasted in a flight of much more expensive Cabs, this one easily stood out. Drink now– 2011.
Bonterra wines are a natural expression of the unique climate and soil of the Mendocino coast. The name "Bonterra" means good earth. All of their wines are nurtured from organically grown grapes. Bonterra relishes the re-discovery of age-old traditions of viticulture, working in harmony with Nature, to create wines with pure, concentrated flavors.
