Winemaker Notes
This white blend has a pale olive green color. Many layers of citrus and tropical aromas like pink grapefruit and mango come together to make an expressive and aromatic wine. On the palate stands out the freshness of the Sauvignon Blanc and the complexity that the Semillon delivers, leading to a juicy and persistent finish.
Blend: 70% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Semillon

A medium-bodied white with aromas of gooseberry, green apple, grapefruit pith and flint. Lemon and honey on the palate, but dry, with bright acidity and a mineral finish.

Sometimes light and crisp, other times rich and creamy, Bordeaux White Blends typically consist of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. Often, a small amount of Muscadelle or Sauvignon Gris is included for added intrigue. Popularized in Bordeaux, the blend is often mimicked throughout the New World. Somm Secret—Sauternes and Barsac are usually reserved for dessert, but they can be served before, during or after a meal. Try these sweet wines as an aperitif with jamón ibérico, oysters with a spicy mignonette or during dinner alongside hearty Alsatian sausage.
Well-regarded for intense and exceptionally high quality red wines, the Colchagua Valley is situated in the southern part of Chile’s Rapel Valley, with many of the best vineyards lying in the foothills of the Coastal Range.
Heavy French investment and cutting-edge technology in both the vineyard and the winery has been a boon to the local viticultural industry, which already laid claim to ancient vines and a textbook Mediterranean climate.
The warm, dry growing season in the Colchagua Valley favors robust reds made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, Malbec and Syrah—in fact, some of Chile’s very best are made here. A small amount of good white wine is produced from Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
