Winemaker Notes

Brilliant ruby red, with delicate and appealing aromas. On the palate, it is dry and balanced, with a soft and elegant body.

Pair with read meat dishes and cheese.

Critical Acclaim

WS 89
Wine Spectator

Smooth and opulent for Chianti, exhibiting black currant, violet and licorice flavors. Bright and balanced, with a long finish of fruit and mineral.

The 2010 Chianti Classico emerges from the glass with big, generous fruit supported by the firm tannins of the vintage. Black cherries, plums, smoke and licorice wrap around the plush finish. This is a fairly large-scaled style for the year. There is more than enough depth in the fruit to make me think the 2010 will drink nicely for a number of years.
