    Winemaker Notes

Straw-yellow color, intense, bright and perfectly transparent, delicately tinted with a hint of bronze. Beautiful and nicely persistent bubbles. Fine, complex and delicate, the nose has generous aromas of fruits, especially the white peach, the quince and currants, also with a very fine nuance of white flowers.

The start is full of delicacy and freshness with citrus fruits and pink grapefruit notes. The mouth has a delicious finale, long and peristent, with pastry aromas reminding of such specific taste as creme caramel.

    Charles Lafitte
They were two contemporaries obsessed with wine and winemaking excellence. We can be certain that Jean-Baptiste Lafitte and François André Goulet would have liked to have met. They are together today in spirit, proud to present the range of Charles Lafitte champagnes.

Charles Lafitte champagne is made for all aesthetes and lovers of fine living and sophistication. It is lively, cheerful, and generous, leaving a fresh sensation on the palate. It is an invitation to pleasure and has logically become the champagne for celebration

The Napa Valley and Cabernet Sauvignon are so intrinsically linked...

The [Napa Valley] and [Cabernet Sauvignon] are so intrinsically linked that it is difficult to discuss one without thinking of the other. Although Cabernet has many important outposts throughout the wine world, nowhere else has it achieved such success (and, at the highest end, commanded such lofty prices) than in Napa. Here, it is responsible for bold, opulent, and dark-fruited wines with grippy tannins and a healthy dose of alcohol. The best examples can age for decades. Each of Napa’s smaller sub-AVAs imparts a different character to Cabernet, such as [Rutherford’s] famous dust or [Stags Leap District's] tart cherry flavors.
