Blend: 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec
Ripe strawberries and vanilla. Some sweet tobacco and nutmeg. Round and full on the palate with really ripe, almost jammy fruit and soft fine tannins. Firm and juicy. Give this another two or three years of bottle age. Always excellent.
Chateau Puygueraud is located in one of the smallest of the Bordeaux appellations, Cotes de Francs.
