Somm Note

Winemaker Notes

The 2015 Belle Terre Chardonnay opens with inviting aromas of Meyer lemon zest, ripe stone fruit and sweet vanilla spice. The wine is medium-bodied with juicy fruit flavors of pineapple and lemon underpinned with a very subtle toasted almond note. The well-structured wine is balanced by a line of racy acidity leading to a mouthwatering, lengthy finish.

Professional Ratings

An outstanding wine is the 2015 Chardonnay Belle Terre Vineyard. This wine, which gets the full monty of malolactic fermentation, offers up notes of tropical fruits such as pineapple and mango, has the telltale honeysuckle, crushed rock minerality and a fresh, medium to full-bodied style. It’s a beauty and fairly priced. Drink it over the next 2-4 years.
