Lush but oh-so-lovely, this sleek contender (a GSM blend) speaks a spiced cherry tongue that tickles the upper palate. Pretty and perfectly food-friendly.

A stunning value, the 2011 Cashmere is a 47,000-case blend of 35% Mourvedre, 24% Syrah, 23% Grenache and 18% Petite Sirah aged six months in oak. This knock-out red is a California version of an exuberant Cotes du Rhone with lots of pepper, black currant, raspberry, forest floor and underbrush characteristics as well as rich, medium-bodied, juicy, succulent flavors with plenty of texture and plushness. Enjoy it over the next several years.
