Typical Bargemone color, pale but substantial almost like a Provençal sunset. Classic Bargemone aromas of slightly underripe wild strawberries and mountain herbs. Dry, piquant, excellent intensity of flavor in this vintage with good body and balance. The texture is mouthcoating but also fresh and mouthwatering. The finish is unusually long, clean and dry.
This begs for seafood but has enough stuffing to accompany pizza or ratatouille.
Deep salmon skin color. Fresh tangerine and nectarine aromas are complemented by notes of mint and dried flowers. Pliant, finely etched citrus and floral flavors stain the palate and gain sweetness with air. Juicy and gently sweet on the persistent finish, which repeats the tangerine note and leaves dusty minerals behind.
Bargemone is among the foremost estates of the Coteaux d’Aix appellation of Provence. A benchmark producer of the delicious, dry rosé for which Provence is famous, the Commanderie was founded by Templar knights in the13th century, and is home to a proud viticultural tradition and more than 160 acres of sustainably grown vineyards.
