Dense crimson purple. Ripe dark cherries, summer pudding and blackberry jam with hints of cinnamon and vanilla. Rich and juicy with flavors of wild blackberries and black forest cake. The tannins are ripe and generous, while the finish is fresh, lingering and leaves the impression of ripe summer berries.
This wine's intriguing fruit character, hinting at mulberries and blackberries, rises out of tannins that are as black as coal. It’s not aggressively concentrated, the texture feeling elegant, the tannins airy if pitch black. Serve it with braised duck.
