    Winemaker Notes

This Chardonnay is sustainably farmed and harvested from select Estate vineyards in California, whose topography, soils and climate provide optimal grape-growing conditions to develop ripe, round fruit flavors. Delicious and satisfying, like a piece of toast spread with apple butter.

Enjoy with with cream sauces; goat cheese; grilled cheese sandwiches; potato chips; roast chicken; and shellfish. Perfect for a casual night with friends.

entwine is the coming together of two extraordinary things. It's the coming together of perfectly balanced flavors. It’s the coming together of food and wine. And it's the coming together of one of America's oldest wineries and the most trusted name in food: Wente Vineyards and Food Network.

Using a shared passion for food and wine as our guide, we've created wines that are delicious on their own, yet also work with the flavors of food to make any meal more enjoyable. In developing these signature wines, Food Network's culinary team worked hand in hand with Fifth Generation Winemaker Karl Wente during the blending process to ensure that each wine had its own distinct personality and flavor.

California’s most praised white wine, Chardonnay is also the state’s most planted white grape variety. Diverse terrain and microclimates allow for an incredible range of wine styles.

Chardonnay planted in the cooler, coastal zones takes on bright characteristics like lemon zest, key lime, green apple and wet flint. For this style, look to the chilly Sonoma Coast, Carneros, Santa Cruz Mountains, Santa Lucia Highlands and Edna Valley.

The inland zones of California’s coast, such as the Russian River, Sonoma, Napa and Livermore Valleys maintain a more Goldilocks-esque climate where both styles go. Early picking retains acidity and creates a leaner style but leaving the grapes to hang creates an approachable Chardonnay, balancing richness and finesse.

Chardonnay also plays a major part in the sparkling wine production of the Anderson Valley and Carneros.
