Winemaker Notes

Pale straw gold. Intensely aromatic and fragrant aromas of passionfruit, grapefruit, and rock melon with subtle citrus notes providing a further lift. This wine displays real fruit intensity without being aggressive. Rich ripe flavours meld with tropical and citrus nuances. It has a crisp mouth feel, is well balanced with an elegant, long finish.

Critical Acclaim

RP 87
The Wine Advocate

Goldwater’s 2009 Wairau Valley Sauvignon Blanc offers subtle lemon, pineapple and fresh herb aromas with a whiff of wet pebbles. Crisp, dry, with good concentration, a medium body and a long finish, this Sauvignon is drinking perfectly now and should remain fresh to 2012.
