Suggested food are sweetbread, onion and pepper kebabs with pear puree and red wine and thyme reduction, stuffed chicken breast, grilled aubergines and curry cream.
Bright medium ruby. Slightly reduced aromas and flavors of blackberry, licorice and bitter chocolate. Juicy, intense and rather cool, with enticing violet lift. Has the mid-palate stuffing to support its serious tannic spine. Not hard, but I'd give this persistent wine a year or two to fill out.
