Deep crimson with ruby hues. Attractive aromas of spiced plum, red currant and blue and black berry fruits are met with floral nuances of violets and black pepper spice. The round, supple palate is filled with juicy blue and red fruits, spiced plum, liquorice and notes of crushed tarragon, with beautifully textured svelte tannins and a long, peppery finish.

A classic Aussie blend from a classic Aussie producer, this wine needs time in decanter if drinking now for those funky reductive notes to blow off. When they do, the tang of cherries, currants and plums reveal themselves, with more delicate floral notes and a prominent line of earthy, savory, spicy, characters, like a damp forest on a cool morning. Powerful, yet more approachable young than other Henschke reds, well-placed tannins weave through the plush fruit and earthy spice lingers on the finish. Drink until 2035.

Such good value here, this offers so much young complexity with charcuterie and swirling spices dressing ripe plums and blackberries, thanks to the 67%shiraz, co-fermented with 6% viognier. The 17% grenache and 10% mataro add treble and bass to a substantially fleshy mid-section that is packed with ripe-blackberry flavors. Forget the numbers, it’s all about drinkability.

A blend of 67% Shiraz (co-fermented with 6% Viognier), 17% Grenache and 10% Mataro, the 2018 Henry's Seven boasts aromas of boysenberries and blueberries. plus hints of dried spices. Matured in 5% new and 95% seasoned French hogsheads for nine months prior to blending and bottling, oak is a minor element, with the fruit flavors coming through loud and clear on the medium to full-bodied palate. It's supple and easy to drink, with a hint of stone fruit on the long and softly dusty finish.

Stephen and Prue continue to craft their white wines with a focus on purity, while their red wines have a strong focus on terroir, using traditional winemaking techniques.
With bold fruit flavors and accents of sweet spice, Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre form the base of the classic Rhône Red Blend, while Carignan, Cinsault and Counoise often come in to play. Though they originated from France’s southern Rhône Valley, with some creative interpretation, Rhône blends have also become popular in other countries. Somm Secret—Putting their own local spin on the Rhône Red Blend, those from Priorat often include Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. In California, it is not uncommon to see Petite Sirah make an appearance.
The Barossa Zone encompasses the Barossa Valley and Eden Valley. Some of the oldest vines in Australia can be found here.
Barossa Valley of course is the most important and famous wine growing region in all of Australia where 140+ year-old, dry-farmed Shiraz vines still produce inky, purple and dense juice for some of Australia's best wines.
In the cooler, wetter Eden Valley sub-region, the Hill of Grace vineyard is home to famous Shiraz vines from the 1800s but the region produces also some of Australia’s very best and age-worthy Rieslings.
