Dark purple. Intense; reminiscent of blackberries and licorice, supported by notes of black pepper. Jammy fruits, such as ripe plum and fig, with a silky texture and a glossy finish.
Pairs well with red meats, hearty pasta dishes and aged cheeses.
Racy and pure, with violet, mineral, iron and black cherry fruit that races along the fine-grained structure. Nicely done.
This wine represents a round, soft style of Crozes-Hermitage and is for immediate pleasure. Rich black cherry fruit is accented by subtle wood spice and anise notes chime in on the almost lush finish.
A native of Marseilles, Colombo first developed a strong admiration for the wines of the Rhône Valley in the late 1970s as a pharmacy student.
