Leeuwin Estate Art Series Riesling 2005
The nose shows lifted aromas of citrus blossom, honeysuckle, lime and quince mixed with a mineral edge, which are indicators of an excellent wine.
Displaying classic Riesling flavors of lime and grapefruit, the palate enjoys great intensity and depth of flavor. The exceptional length finishes with clean crisp succulent acidity.
This style of wine particularly lends itself to be enjoyed with freshly shucked oysters and Asian dishes.
Pale gold. Waxy, honeyed and minerally on the nose, with vibrant fruit notes of yellow apple, Bosc pear and white peach. Then quite broad on the palate, with a wide range of fruit flavors: Meyer lemon, ruby-red grapefruit, lime and white peach. Very dry and firm on the back end, with a refreshing hit of quinine adding refreshment. The crisp minerality carries impressively through the finish.
