Winemaker Notes

Louis Jadot Gevrey-Chambertin reflects the quality characteristics of the commune—deep color with a multifaceted berry and red fruit bouquet, a full tannic structure and a mellow texture that carries into a lasting finish.

This powerful and perfumed wine requires elaborate, flavorful foods such as leg of lamb, boeuf bourguignon, game pâtés and strong cheeses. This wine can be enjoyed immediately or within 10 years of the vintage.

Critical Acclaim

RP 90
The Wine Advocate

The 2010 Gevrey-Chambertin is a gorgeous wine laced with sweet red cherries, dried flowers, sage, mint and licorice. It shows the energy, nuance and focus of Gevrey, but there is more than enough fruit to smooth out some of the angular contours that are sometimes present in entry-level wines from the village. Floral notes add brightness on the finish. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020.
Range: 88-90
